Jaded Blossom Guest Designer day!

Hello everyone! Dottie here with my last
guest designer post for November. I'm happy to
be sharing my project with you today, but sad it will be my last time.

Today I have made some treat bags with a cute lil tag using the
JB Curly Label Die that I cut out on double sided christmas paper from Recollections.
It's stamped with JB Winter Wishes and tied
to the JB gusset bag with a lil trendy twine. They are filled
with special treat called Christmas Crack. It's kinda
like a sweet chocolaty chex mix (Recipe on my blog).

Christmas Crack Recipe:

1 lb White Bakers Chocolate
Break up chocolate into small pieces.
Warm double boiler – drop in chocolate and leave it alone, get rest of mix ready.
When chocolate is shiny, you can mix until smooth.

3 C Rice Chex
3 C plain popcorn
 2 C Fritos
3 C Cheerios
2 C Pretzels
2 C Peanuts (without skin)
12 oz package of your favorite M & M's

Put dry ingredients in a LARGE Bowl and mix together.  Pour melted chocolate over and stir to coat (kind of like folding in the chocolate) gently work it until all of the dry ingredients are coated.  Spread mixture on a parchment paper or wax paper (I lined a couple of cookie sheets and then poured the mix on them).  Let cool completely and it will harden.  Break up into small chunks.

Enjoy!

A special thanks to Candace and Michelle for allowing me this great opportunity!
It has been an amazing month. Thanks for stopping by, have a great week!!

Jaded Blossom guest designer day!

Hi everyone!
I am the guest designer for Jaded Blossom today!

For my project today I made some little gifts for some very
important ladies that I had the pleasure of volunteering with last weekend!
My aunt has a charity that serves meals to the less fortunate. We packaged up
over 100 jars of bean soup and split pea soup mixes!

The sentiment is from Thanksgiving wishes and it says Thankful for you, I thought this was the perfect sentiment to let them know their time and work is
appreciated! The bags are of course the 3x4" bags
from Jaded Blossom as well as the Fancy Topper Die and Curly Label Die. The kisses
are stamped on cream paper with Thanksgiving Candies stamps.
I added a little bow made out of sweater trim in gumball green from Stampin up to finish it off.

Jaded Blossom November Release Blog Hop!

Welcome to the November Release Blog Hop!

Hey, if you've come here from Michelle you are in the right place!
If not start at Jaded Blossom, you wouldn't want to miss any of the fun!

For my project I used the freebie stamp set! Yes you heard correctly
they are giving away a free stamp set when you order $45 or more this weekend! (Whiles supplies last)
Make sure to order early! It's a super cute set and you don't want to miss out!

Isn't that Penguin just adorable! I love him and his big cup of cocoa. For this I used the gusset bags (they hold lots), fancy topper die and and their 3x4" bags for my marshmallows. When I cut out the top piece for the bag topper I stopped it just before it would cut the top off since I needed to make him fit. I then just freehand cut around it. The gusset bag fits 2 packets of cocoa and a bag of marshmallows perfectly. The paper is from last years DCWV Christmas/Winter stack.

What is a blog hop without some blog candy? This month Trendy Twine is sponsoring the hop and giving away some "Berry" Twine! Jaded Blossom is also giving away a $15 Gift Certificate to Jaded Blossom Store. The more blogs you comment on the more chances you have to win!

Next in the hop is

Just in case you get lost along the way here is the lineup:

Jaded Blossom Release day!

Today's the day!
At 4pm today Jaded Blossom will
have their release blog hop!

For our last sneak peek we have Snowman Poop!

If you can't read it the poem I used goes like this:
I hear you've been naughty,
so listen, here's the scoop!
Instead of coal this year,
you get snowman poop!

I made a simple bag topper and used the Curly Label die for a tag. The tag is pop dotted and I added a lil Trendy Twine bow in Holly Berry. For my snowman poop I used vanilla salt water taffy. Yummy!

Make sure to come back for the release! It's a great hop coming up with some awesome prizes!

There's even a cute Holiday Penguin set that's free if you spend $45 or more
on release weekend while supplies last!
It's definitely a must have so get them before they are sold out!!

Jaded Blossom sneak peek day 4!

Just one more day till the release!!

I'm getting very excited, I hope you are too.
Today we are sneaking a peek at Mexican Food and Simple Sayings 2! These are both great sets
and there's so many different uses for all the stamps in them!

Mexican Food project

My card today uses the negative portion of the Fancy topper die from Tuesdays
project and of course the Mexican Food stamp set. The pepper images are cut out with my Silhouette and from the Silhouette online store.

My Simple Sayings 2 project

The card base is made out of 2 clouds welded together from the Silhouette store
and the sunshine is also from the Silhouette store. I embossed the cloud in divine swirls to give it some texture and used a ice blue chalk ink to give definition to the swirls. I used the Flag Die and Flag Die 2 sets to stamp my sentiment on. And what is sunshine with out a cute Peachy Keen face.

Don't forget to come back tomorrow with 1 more sneak peek and the big release at 4pm PST.

It's gonna be an awesome release tomorrow!

Jaded Blossom Sneak Peek Day 3!

It's Wednesday already and we have 2 sneaks today!!

The weeks half over and that means just 2 more days till the big release and blog hop!

This has been a fun week so far and today we are sneaking a peek
at Alphabet Candies and Number Candies!

They are so cute!! My personal favorite of the entire release!

Here is my project for them, I combined the sets into a treat for a friend that just turned 21!

I hope he likes its! I thought it was very colorful and not feminine... I always have a hard time with that.

I used both the new sets, the Fancy Topper Die and the 3x4 clear bags all from Jaded Blossom. All papers are scraps I had laying around. I have a REALLY BIG bin of scraps that I like to use when I make little things.

See you tomorrow for another great sneak peek!

Design Day at Jaded Blossom

Hello Everyone! Today is my first day as guest designer for
Jaded Blossom, I'm so very excited to be here and show you a
Christmas card I made.

I used red cardstock from my stash, the frame is cut out on the silhouette, for the sentiment and the tree I used the Christmas wishes set. The sentiment and boarder from the Curly everyday borders set is embossed on the Curly label die with a couple red shiny brads for detail. For the Christmas Tree I stamped Versamark ink on photo paper, dried it with my heat gun and then covered the entire thing in Memento Cottage Ivy.

Here's a photo tutorial of the Christmas tree process

Start off with a 3x4 piece of white photo paper, the cheap stuff from Costco works great!
(Don't use Kodak premium picture paper high gloss, it would not set)

Stamp the image onto the paper with Versamark ink
(it must be Versamark, I tried others and again they would not set properly)

Then dry with a heat gun or hair dryer
(its dries very quickly!)

Then just take your ink pad and start rubbing it over the entire thing.

The more ink you rub on the more defined the image will be and
to get it back to shiny just rub it with a old clean rag.

It's really easy, quick and beautiful.

Thank you and have a great week!

Jaded Blossom Guest Designer/Monthly Challenge

Hello Everyone!
I'm so excited to let you all know that I am the guest designer
at Jaded Blossom for the month of November! This is a HUGE honor and I've been
SO SO SO excited about it since they asked me to do it. In fact within seconds
I was telling my best friend, whom I was having lunch with at the time.

Now on to my project. The challenge this month is to make a Thanksgiving treat.

I made this cute lil treat for my mom as a thank you for having us all
to dinner on Thanksgiving. I know having a big dinner like this is so time consuming.

I used the Gusset bags, which I inserted a piece of Bo Bunny Apple Cider collection paper in, to
give it some structure and make it a lil extra cute. Then I stamped some plain white cardstock with the Thanksgiving Candies set in multiple colors and even colored some of the designs in with my Copics. I closed the bag off with more Bo Bunny paper cut out with the Fancy Topper die, which I ABSOLUTELY love!! In fact I think I might love it more than the flag dies (maybe). The image I pop dotted  onto it is the top half of the turkey from the Turkey Poop set, which I colored with my Copics. The sentiment Gobble til' you wobble is also from that set. It has so many cute phrases and even a couple things you can disguise him up with.

Here's a close up of the topper and turkey.

I hope you can join us in this month's challenge it'll be a fun one!

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a happy week.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone!

I have a quick post since it's past my bedtime.

Here are some little matchbook treats I made for my co-workers and
my boyfriends co-workers. Who doesn't love a lil candy on Halloween!

I used kraft cardstock for the actual matchbook cut out at 2 3/4" by 8".
Put a lil DCWV halloween paper on as a mat and pop
dotted some cute images I cut out on my Silhouette.
The ghost face is from Peachy Keen Basic Paper Doll Asst.

Thanks for stopping by, hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween.

Vampire Bites treat bags

Hello again! I've really been in the Halloween treat making mood. :)

I wanted to share a quick post of some Vampire Bites I made using the Jaded Blossom Halloween treats stamp set and the PK character face asst. I got the peekaboo vampire from the Silhouette online store and left out his face so I could stamp a PK face on him. I pop dotted his lil hands to add some dimension and make them look like they were really coming over the edge of the paper and I accented that with a strip of black ribbon for texture. On the back I stamped the vampire bites in stampin up real red ink. The bag is a JB 3x4 inch bag filled with cherry jelly bellies.

Hope you enjoyed my treat today :)

Jaded Blossom October Challenge

I have a quick post to share for the Jaded Blossom Monthly Challenge
I made these up for my co-workers, thought it would be fun to show them a lil more about me.

I cut the pumpkin out using my Silhouette on orange polka dot cardstock and the stem is green glitter cardstock. I used DCWV Halloween and Fall paper stack for the paper on the back that I stamped the Jaded Blossom Pumpkin Poop poem on. The poem says:
Pumpkin Poop
I started to carve my pumpkin
with my carving knife and scoop
but the pumpkin got so scared
it took a little poop

It looked so cute and funny
just like a candy treat
so I'm sharing it with you now
because you are so sweet

Isn't it so cute!! I just love the poem. I filled the Jaded Blossom 3"x4" bags
with little pumpkin mellowcremes.

Hope you like my project. I'll have more Halloween treats to share later this week!

Master Crafter project

Hello everyone! This is a late night post for me.
So I signed up for Master Crafter and it's been really fun! I got my box a couple weeks ago and now I get to post and link up what I made with my goodies.

To vote for my project click on the Master Crafter picture above. I'm #8!

The items that came in my package were a Scissor Mouse sponsored by Westcott , DCWV Rockstar mat stack sponsored by DCWV Deals, Cotton Bag Sponsored by State line Bag Co. , 1/2 sheet of green Rhinestones sponsored by Queen and Co., Sentiment stamp Celebrate sponsored by Pink by Design, Assorted Buttons.

I used the scissor mouse to cut out my tag, using the paper in the Rockstar mat stack for both layers, I distressed the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Vintage Photo, then added a 3 Girl Jam ribbon flower with one of the Queen and Co. Rhinestones for the center and to finish it off used the Celebrate sentiment from Pink by Design.

Here's a close up of the tag

For the gift bag which I filled with flower bulbs (it's that time around here). I dyed the cotton bag in distress stain in Vintage Photo, Peeled Paint and Broken China. I then added the buttons that were in my package to the strings for a cute tie off, and adorned the bag with another ribbon flower with button in the center and some Rhinestones for sparkle.

Here's a close up of the bag

Well even if I don't win Master Crafter it sure was fun making this cute little bag and I know one of my friends will just love to plant these tulip bulbs in front of her new home!

Hope everyone has a great rest of your week!

Anniversary card

Well it's been quite a while since I last posted. My new job is very exhausting since I'm still in the training phase. Hopefully once I get into the groove everything will go back to normal. I wanted to share a quick card I made for my parents friends anniversary.

I am currently in love with paper flowers! They can be so much fun and a very simple way to add a nice touch. I used the Jaded Blossom original flag die, which I just love so much! some flowers from recollections, the scallop circle I cut out on my silhouette, the sentiment is stampin up and a few pearls from CTMH.

Hope you like it and have a great weekend!

Jaded Blossom Monthly Challenge

Hey everyone! Happy Labor day, I've had the last 3 days off and yet haven't gotten to craft at all. =( I
m definitely making time today! Here's my project for the Jaded Blossom Sept. Monthly Challenge. I just love this card it is my first attempt at a pop-up card and I think it turned out pretty good. It was for my friend Todd's 30th birthday and we had a blast and he loved the card.

Here's the card standing up I used Pink Paislee paper for the base and some shimmery blue paper from recollections that I embossed with sizzix embossing folder snowballs. I then faux letterpressed the 30 that I cut out on my silhouette with the same embossing folder and CTMH tulip ink. I used the make a wish set from Jaded Blossom for my sentiment.

Here's a look at the inside of the card.

The card file is from the Silhouette store and I colored the "frosting" and candles with my copics.

Hope everyone has a happy and safe labor day!!

Wedding Wishes card

Hello Everyone!

Today I'm here with a quick post showing you a beautiful wedding card
I made using one of my favorite stamps ever!!

I just love this dress from Jaded Blossom! It just is so gorgeous and stamps very cleanly. I then inked the edges with black chalk ink and added a damask type print paper behind from Michaels. Then a simple black bow I made with my 3 girl jam bow maker. So elegant and sophisticated.

Hope everyone has a great rest of your week!

Baby girl card using die

Hello!! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I know I did
and today marks my first day at my new job. Wish me luck!!

Today I thought I would share a card I made to go with a baby gift.

I just love this card! I used my new 3 girl jam bow maker. Which I am completely in love with!
I started with rounding the corners on the card base and my background paper
from doodlebug design. Then added the ribbon and pop dotted the sentiment. The same paper
just reverse side. On top of that I used the new Jaded Blossom curly label die to stamp
my sentiment on which is from the Michaels dollar bin and
I added a little flower I put together from recollections with a
bronze brad in the middle. It's hard to tell but I also added
some bronze pearls to a few of the flowers in the background for a lil depth.

I of course also had to embellish the envelope.

This was really a fun cute card to make! I really am in love with the colors and design.

For a cute little girl

I made this for my friends daughters first birthday party a while ago.
I thought it would be something fun to share.

I started off with paper mache letters from Joann's and spray painted them a light pink.
I then decorated each letter with buttons, flowers and paper
flourishes. I trimmed the outside of the letter in the same bright pink ribbon that I
used to hang them with.

Here's a close of the A.

Have a great weekend everyone! Next week I will have a birthday card
for my bestie's husband who turns 30 this weekend!!

Good news and a card!

I haven't posted in a while because I've been crazy busy getting
everything squared away for the start of a new job, I'm very nervous as I have
been with the same company for 12 years (most of my working life). This new journey is going to be
fun (I'll be working with my best friend again) but very scary to think I will no longer go somewhere
I have considered my second home quite a while now.

On to the fun stuff!!! I have still had a little bit of time to create, mostly thank you cards to people
I have worked with over the years.

I created a very simple, yet elegant card for one of my previous bosses.

The Stamps are all Jaded Blossom, I just love that tree! It's hard to see but I added a few stickles
to the tree for a lil sparkle. The paper is from my scraps and the ribbon was in a Teresa Collins kit I had.

Hope you like, have a great day!

Birthday card and trying out my copics

Hey everyone!!

I've been wanting copics forever but couldn't bring myself to actually buy them. They are just so expensive!! Luckily I have some pretty great friends who got me a wonderful gift card to amazon for my birthday and with that money I could begin my copic collection. I ended up getting the ciao set A colors. I've been nervous to try them out and this is my first tiny attempt.

I made the birthday card with a cool chevron die that I got from scrapbuck.com. I used the dotty for you paper pack from CTMH. I love how the colors and patterns coordinate together. All the stamps used are from Jaded Blossom

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!!
