I got a Silhouette!!

Hey everyone!
So my birthday was the 11th and my boyfriend had kept asking me what I wanted. I just couldn't decide until I was reading a blog post late the night before and they had made a project with their silhouette, it was almost like a light bulb went off in my brain and I practically screamed I WANT A SILHOUETTE!! Then came the realization that I asked for a very expensive present... But being the amazing man he is without a blink said it was mine if that's what I really wanted. It came yesterday. =) Thank goodness Amazon is so close and even free shipping only takes a few days to get to me! I was so antsy and I wanted to make sure that I knew what I was doing when it arrived that besides a fathers day card I didn't craft at all last week. I have been watching videos and am super excited to get to use digi's for the first time. I never have before because me cutting something out by hand would not look very nice and might possibly be missing a head or leg or something.

Here's a look at a my fathers day card. It's quite simple but I knew my dad would love the shape.

I just cut an inch in on a white card base and folded the little tabs I had made over so they looked like a collar and then cut out a tie from DCWV guy stack paper, added a couple buttons and viola! easy and simple. I knew I had to make it quick since I was so tired from our vacation to the coast. I also have to share this amazing pic from our cottage at sunset.

Hope everyone has a great day!

John Deere Invites

Hi Everyone, boy have I been busy with invitations. I feel like that's all I've been crafting lately... Don't get me wrong though I love making things for other people, especially my close friends and family! I did get to take a break from invitations last night to go take a class at my local scrapbooking store Lila's Scrapbooking. It was a lot of fun and I learned a few new tips and tricks. I share my project I made a lil later in this post.

Here's the second set of invitations I've made recentlly.

Here's about half of them.

Here's an up close pic.

I used the boy's will be boys cart. for the tractor and made it in green and yellow to represent john deer. I had to hide contour some of it so it would turn out just right! I added the 1 in pink to make it a lil more girly and coordinate with the pink and yellow background. The pink is embossed with the swiss dots folder.
It's stamped with CTMH stamp that comes with the Art Philosophy bundle, on a Jaded Blossom flag die.
Now here's a peek of what I made in my class, it's a mini album kit from Teresa Collins Spring fling collection.

Now it's time to fill it with pictures!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and happy crafting!

Beautiful wedding dress card

Happy Monday Everyone!
I feel like all I've been making lately is wedding cards and invitations. Lots of weddings/birthdays happening around here. I guess both are good things, so with that being said I would like to share my latest and my most favorite wedding card yet!

The moment I saw this dress stamp on a sneak from Jaded Blossom I fell in love with it and ordered it the weekend it became available! This was my first chance to use it and I know I will be using it so much more in the future! Don't you just love it! I first stamped it with glue on black paper and used
Martha Stewart carrara marble glitter to make it pop. In the pic it looks more silver but its definitely got a lot of white in it. The sentiment is from the same stamp set which is called Wedding Wishes. The paper is a mix of random papers I had laying around and some dcwv cardstock. I got the ribbon at dollar tree.

Just a reminder of this months promotions!

Hope you liked it! My next couple posts will be invitations to little girls birthdays that I am currently working on! Hope everyone has a great week, see you soon

Hi! I'm pretty excited today, I designed my button and after a lot of research and several failed attempts I made a grab my button code! I couldn't have done it without the help from this tutorial by Jade Louise Designs.

Now on to today's project, I made a birthday card for a co-worker. We gave it to her today and I think she really liked it. I know I think it's super cute, but I may be a bit biased!

I used DCWV embossed cards in dots for the base and pop dotted a cute cupcake cut at 4" from the create a critter cartridge. I removed the smiley face and instead embossed the frosting with the Cuttlebug divine swirls folder. I then stamped it with the CTMH Celebrate stamp from one of the stamp sets that comes with the art philosophy cartridge set. I colored the embossed raised dots with watercolor pencils to give it a fun happy sprinkles feeling.

It's STAMPAGANZA time!!
It's my first time ever for this and the deals are just so awesome!
I'm so excited I can barely control myself.. hehe =)

It's a new month and that means a new stamp of the month is out!
It's super cute and I'm ordering mine this weekend.

It has tons of cute images and a few sentiments!

Hope you like!
Have a great weekend. =)
