Hello Everyone! Today is my first day as guest designer for
Jaded Blossom, I'm so very excited to be here and show you a
Christmas card I made.
I used red cardstock from my stash, the frame is cut out on the silhouette, for the sentiment and the tree I used the Christmas wishes set. The sentiment and boarder from the Curly everyday borders set is embossed on the Curly label die with a couple red shiny brads for detail. For the Christmas Tree I stamped Versamark ink on photo paper, dried it with my heat gun and then covered the entire thing in Memento Cottage Ivy.
Here's a photo tutorial of the Christmas tree process
Start off with a 3x4 piece of white photo paper, the cheap stuff from Costco works great!
(Don't use Kodak premium picture paper high gloss, it would not set)
Stamp the image onto the paper with Versamark ink
(it must be Versamark, I tried others and again they would not set properly)
Then dry with a heat gun or hair dryer
(its dries very quickly!)
Then just take your ink pad and start rubbing it over the entire thing.
The more ink you rub on the more defined the image will be and
to get it back to shiny just rub it with a old clean rag.
It's really easy, quick and beautiful.
Thank you and have a great week!
